The Fight For Life Foundation, formerly known as the Marlin Jackson Fight For Life Foundation, was established in 2007 by Marlin Jackson to help inner city and low income youth. In 2010, Antoine Bethea and Melvin Bullitt of the Indianapolis Colts decided to team up with Jackson and formed the Fight for Life Foundation. The goal of the foundation is to help inner city and low income youth make positive life changing decisions. The choices children make can have an impact on them for the rest of their lives.

The Fight for Life Foundation works with youth in Indianapolis and in the players’ hometowns to teach them the importance of making smart choices. The Foundation provides education incentives to students throughout the school year, scholarship opportunities, and Christmas assistance.

Marlin Jackson, a former Indianapolis Colts player, is a native of Sharon, Pennsylvania. He overcame an underprivileged childhood because of his faith in God, positive role models, and a drive for success. His passion and commitment for youth inspired him to create the foundation, the Fight for Life Football Academy, and the Field of Dreams program. He also provides assistance to families in need during the holiday season.

Antoine Bethea of the Indianapolis Colts is a native of Newport News, Virginia. Antoine shares his passions for football and for post-secondary education with teenagers. He recently took teens from Newport News on a college tour to Howard University and George Mason University.

Melvin Bullitt of the Indianapolis Colts is a native of Garland, Texas. Melvin recently coached a basketball team with the LeGore Boys & Girls Club and plans to host a football camp in Garland, Texas. Prior to his recent partnership with the Fight For Life Foundation, Melvin sponsored toy drives and outings with the foundation in 2009.

Collectively the players host free annual football camps that serve over 1,200 youth ages 8-13.

The Fight for Life Foundation is a 501(c)(3) and is a part of the Community Foundation of Western Pennsylvania and Ohio.
