The Fight for Life Foundation has been created by Marlin Jackson to help inner city youth make positive life forming decisions. Choices made by children as young as 6 years old can have an impact on them for the rest of their lives.

Marlin Jackson is a member of the Indianapolis Colts. A native of Sharon Pennsylvania and with the influences of positive role models and through his own genetic desire for success, he has risen above the norm and in 2000 went to Michigan on a full football scholarship. In 2004 he was the first round draft pick of the Indianapolis Colts. His passion and commitment for youth has caused the creation of the Fight for Life Foundation. Marlin realizes that his position allows him to get the attention of many youth in Indianapolis. He intends to use this gift as his opportunity to reach out and provide positive role modeling and influences in the lives of as many young persons as possible.

Programs for 2009 are extensive and will include a one day football camp at Douglas Park in Indianapolis. This camp will serve approximately 400 inner city youth and will teach them football skills as well as life skills. A summer football academy is being planned at various facilities in Indianapolis, These academies will meet once a week during the summer and will teach character, team work, goal setting, attitude, scholastic focus and ethics.

A team of volunteers assists Marlin with this Foundation.

The Fight for Life foundation is a 501 c3 and is part of the Central Indiana Community Foundation of Western Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio.
